Daniel founded axial3D in 2015 following 7 years in the medical device industry and an academic background in biomedical engineering, specializing in medical visualization and use of 3D printing in medicine.
Under Daniel’s direction, axial3D is focused on delivering groundbreaking software and services in medical 3D printing.

Cathy has responsibility for core operations within the company, including print productivity, logistics and quality/regulatory compliance.
With over 8 years’ experience in senior roles within the medical device industry, she is a huge asset to the team.

Niall leads axial3D’s software and R&D teams, central to delivering on axial3D's ambitious software plans in the coming months and years.
Niall has over 10 years software development experience in both the commercial and academic sectors. His expertise is clear in industry circles, having been invited to serve on the academic board of PLoS ONE and working with leading scientific journals.

Head of New Business & Strategic Partnerships
Katie is responsible for delivering on axial3D's commercial strategy, working directly with customers and channel partners.
Katie has a proven track record in medtech start-ups, previously holding a senior position within a disruptive medical imaging company. Katie joined axial3D following the successful exit of that company through acquisition by Royal Philips.
The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing.
Eve has responsibility for axial3D’s marketing function. She has 10 years’ experience in the field, in sectors including destination tourism, recruitment advertising and hospitality, before joining the company in summer 2017.
Eve’s key focus is expanding global brand reputation and media relations for the company.

Machine Learning Lead
Lorenzo leads axial3D Machine Learning team, working on the development of advanced algorithms to analyse patients 3D medical scans, focusing on achieving the highest anatomical fidelity of the 3D printed models as well as help shape the company's product portfolio.
With a PhD in Physics, Lorenzo gained experience in companies including Alert Logic, Mintel as well as within academia.
Patrick Hurst MBE is formerly CEO and co-owner of Whale®. He was pivotal in transforming the engineering sector through the use of 3D printing, leading to the firm’s acquisition by US-based Brunswick Corporation.
Under Patrick's leadership in the board, axial3D is making huge strides in business growth and software innovation.
Sandy is a partner at Scottish VC tech specialists Pentech Ventures with interest in areas including machine learning, artificial intelligence and security technology.
He has led investments in numerous innovative tech companies which have progressed to acquisition by major companies including SAP and Apple. He provides strong support to axial3D's software and R&D teams.
Stuart is leading tech founder and investor in the UK financial sector.
He is CEO of Datactics, a data access and reporting technology firm and was previously awarded the Northern Ireland “Business Angel of the Year” in recognition of his investments in innovative, young companies.
Wesley is the former Financial & Operations Director at and co-owner of Whale, taking the company through a number of MBOs before ultimately to the acquisition by US-based Brunswick Corporation.
He has both an Engineering and Accountancy background and has spent his working life in industry. He is currently non executive director of a number of companies both in Northern Ireland and abroad.
