Comminuted Associated Both Column Acetabular Fracture
A physical, 1:1 scale 3D printed model of the patient’s pelvis provided additional insight into the severe injury beyond what was possible by viewing traditional 2D patient scans alone. The model helped the surgical team determine the optimum treatment plan.

A physical 3D printed planning model was created to aid in preoperative planning and osteotomy selection for open reduction and internal fixation for a patient with complex calcaneal fracture.
Tibial Bar Resection
A physical 3D Model of the patient’s physeal growth arrest was used to accurately visualise bar location within proximal paediatric tibia. Additional diagnosis of deformation on tibial plateau confirmed with use of the physical 3D model.
Physical 3D models were used to trial a novel procedure and measure equipment before surgical intervention of a patient with severe osteogenesis imperfecta. Additional diagnosis was discovered with loss of bone growth on tibial head from the physical 3D model as well as giving a greater spatial understanding of the coxa vara of the patient’s pathology.
